Fujara – The Queen of Flutes, the Spirit of Slovakia
Behind every tone of our fujaras lies a story – the story of a father and son who turned wood into the voice of the mountains. From a small workshop in the heart of Slovakia, our instruments travel across the world – from folklore ensembles to concert stages and royal palaces.
Our fujaras resound through the performances of the most prominent Slovak folklore ensembles – Lúčnica, SĽUK – as well as many folk groups both in Slovakia and abroad. They are played by world-renowned musicians such as Róbert Puškár, Veronika Vitázková, Pedro Eustache (USA), Christian DiMarco (Australia), Saulius Petreikis (Lithuania), Lumira (Canada), Marco Trochelmann (Germany), Gérard Widmer (Switzerland), Giuseppe Dal Bianco (Italy), Jiří Stivín (Czech Republic), Winfried Skrobek (Germany) and many others.
Our fujaras were presented as gifts by the President of Slovakia to the Emperor of Japan, the King of Norway, and many other heads of state around the world.
Awards such as Instrumentum Excellens and the Golden Fujara confirm that we unite masterful craftsmanship with the soul of the Slovak mountains.
Each instrument is an original – adorned with ancestral symbols, tuned to perfection, and infused with the fragrance of wood and natural oils. The fujara is not only a musical instrument – it is the voice of ancestors, a gift of peace, a tool of meditation and music therapy.
With love for tradition and the courage to innovate, we bring the world a unique sound that heals, moves, and connects.
